    Dear Families,

    The Summer Rising application is now open. March 3-27: Apply in MySchools.NYC. P.S. 164 will be at 20K048 The Mapleton School, located at 6015 18th Ave., Brooklyn, New York

    Important Application Guidelines

    • List only the programs you truly want your child to attend.
    • Please rank them in the order of your genuine preference.
    • The admissions process is not first‑come, first‑served.
    • All applications submitted by Friday, March 27, will be reviewed equally, regardless of when they were submitted during the application window.
    • You will receive a confirmation email after you submit your application. This email will serve as proof that your application was successfully received.

    Application Instructions

    Step 1: Log In

    • If you already have an account, log in.

    Step 2: Learn About Summer Rising

    • Go to MySchools.nyc to look at Summer Rising programs.
    • When you log in, click “Get Started” next to Summer Rising.
    • You will see a list of all programs.
    • Your child’s school program will be at the top.
    • If your child has a 12‑month IEP, their program may already be chosen.

    Step 3: Apply (Starting March 3, 2026)

    You can apply in three ways:

    1. Online at MySchools.nyc — Don’t forget to click “Submit”!
    2. Through your child’s parent coordinator.
    3. At a Family Welcome Center
